(Pronounced: Loo-Shard)

He was born Lucard Alexei Valois in 1414 AD the first of twins. The bastard son of the King of France. As an infant his mother, his sister and he, were sent to a castle not far from Orleans. He and his sister grew up hiding their true identities.

Thus began the life of a Hero...

He was taught the art or war and at a young age was knighted. By then he was known as Alexis Lucard, Knight of the Cross. He fought along side Joan of Arc at the siege of Orleans. In 1439 he married and took ownership of Castle Lucard, the home of his youth.

Thus began the life of a husband and father....

Alexis' wife bore five children, three of which survived infancy. Alexis kept in contact with his siblings and often advised them on sensitive subjects. He and his family were secretly well cared for and granted large amounts of land around the castle that he could care for and tax.

His journeys took him to many places around his home in an attempt of protecting his serfs and insuring obedience. His aire of nobility was known by many.

Thus began the beginning of the End....

In the Last days of March in the year 1444, Alexis had been chosen for the embrace by a powerful Tremere who went to Orleans to check on a chantry there. The morning before he was to be embraced Alexis left for a party at the Manse of Claudius Giovanni. A party he wasn't meant to survive, and in a way he didn't.... He was embraced against his will as a last ditch effort to save the lives of the true guests of the party from a rival group of Vampires attack. The Founders enter the dining room as the last of the 13 "party guests" finished crossing over to unlife.

Thus began the unlife of a Warrior...

Alexis found himself in a new world of darkness that lay hidden under the world he had always known. And the Founders allowed him and the other "survivors" to live in return for their serving as the Founder's Proxies.

Thus began the life of a Hunter...

For over 500 years he has fought against the Giovanni and for the Founder's. They trained him to be a hunter and a hunter he became. He became one of the First Alastor's and was the second to become a Red Alastor. Alexis is both feared and respected by the Justicar council. His relationship to the Founder's keeps the Justicars in check where he is concerned. He believes that the Camarilla and Sabbat can have everything but Illinois and his castle and lands in France. Alexis has made many powerful friends and enemies during his unlife and his choosing to stay out of general Kindred politics has made several Elders wonder what he is up to, but he sits quietly in his office in Chicago where he controls the city. All of the Kindred of Chicago know that he is the true power. But few have the courage to even say his name out loud.

The Quest has Ended....

After 555 years his quest against the Giovanni is over. He has found peace. He has layed down his sword. He wishes to hunt no more. Now he protects his city and helps keep it independent. Anyone can come here and stand before the Children of Isaac. Once they look into their soul if what there is not evil then they are welcome with open arms.

The others? Only the Children know....

Year 2000

In an unexpected event Alexis has withdrawn from the position of Red Alastor. He has offically left the Camarilla and returned to Chicago. Here he will build his city and let the Cam and Sabbat go at their war while the Kindred of his city survive on they're own.
